A furry friend to assist recovery
Meet Miley, our Labradoodle service dog, who loves to greet and get to know every visitor to the Eating Disorder Center of Fresno. Born in North Carolina and unfortunately abandoned by her original owner, Miley was rescued and trained in service by the prestigious Rolling Meadows Academy near Durham. Friendly and loving, Miley has been blessed with the ability to recognize distress in humans, and she expresses sincere, uncomplicated compassion and concern for individuals and families going through the recovery process.
In the years since Miley joined the Eating Disorder Center of Fresno, she’s become an invaluable team member, and has helped numerous patients and staff through tough times by being a furry, fuzzy embodiment of trust and unconditional love. Most of the time, that’s exactly what a person recovering from an eating disorder needs.
